You may know that some animals can avoid power lines. Creatures from birds to reindeer tend to avoid the areas around power lines. Have you ever wondered how they avoid it? They are scared of ultraviolet light that appears as frightening flashes. Most of the mammals in the world can see ultraviolet which humans and apes cannot see.
