If you’ve ever given yourself a paper cut, you know how bad it hurts. But have you ever wondered why that tiny little paper cut hurts so much? That’s because we usually get them on our fingertips and they are one of the most sensitive parts in our body. Paper cuts directly damage the nociceptors/pain receptors in our outermost layer of skin and our brains have specialized areas to receive signals coming from these parts in high definition.
