Have you ever heard of the world’s smallest snake? The Barbados threadsnake (Leptotyphlops carlae) is the smallest known snake species in the world. The snake closely resembles an earthworm with an average adult length of 3.94 inches. It is as slim as a spaghetti noodle and has been found hiding out in a forest on Barbados. Scientists says that this species is new to science on the basis of its genetic differences from other snake species and its unique colour pattern and scales.
