Have you heard of electric eels? The electric eel has around 6000 cells known as electrocytes that produce electricity. They can generate up to 600 volts, which is nearly 3 times stronger than voltage found in our household supply. It uses these high voltage shocks for hunting and to defend itself. When threatened or attacking prey, these cells will discharge simultaneously.
