Would you like to know about an animal who might have the world’s cutest smile? Have you heard of Axolotls? The Axolotl is considered to be one of the world’s most unusual and unique species of salamanders. Axolotl has an astonishing ability to regenerate lost limbs and body organs including the heart, lungs and kidneys in only a few weeks. The feathery looking branches that extend from either side of its head are gills. They are currently listed by CITES as an endangered species and by IUCN as critically endangered in the wild.
