If you’re a kindle user you may have come across a display named E-ink display. Unlike other LED, LCD displays, E-ink displays are easier on the eyes and they feature lower power consumption. Do you know how E-ink displays works? E-ink uses tiny black and white spheres named microcapsules. These black micro capsules are charged negatively and white micro capsules are charged positively. These microcapsules are arranged between two electrodes. These two electrodes apply different electrical fields to each microcapsule allowing the opposite charged microcapsules to move to the top of the display. The patterns made by these risen microcapsules, make up the texts and images which can be seen on your display.
