Can you remember those beautiful eyes of loris? Well, all species of loris have a tapetum lucidum, a layer of light reflecting tissue behind the retina, that produces ‘eye shine’. Their eyes are the largest of all the other primates and are the most forward-facing. They can see their world in almost total darkness and it helps them to locate their prey during the nights.
