To most eating peanuts is a delicious meal but for ones who are allergic to peanuts eating them becomes a horrible nightmare. Most of you know that itchy skin, running nose, and swelling are the symptoms of an allergic reactions but do you know what an allergy is? You would be surprised that your immune system which protects you from pathogens is responsible for this. We will take a person who is allergic to pollen. When this person inhales pollen the immune system mistakes the pollen as harmful to the body and release chemicals like histamine. Histamine causes swelling and inflammation which leads to the above mentioned symptoms.
