You must have heard that the earth is rotating but, if the earth is moving why don’t we feel it? Think of travelling in a car which travels at a constant speed. You can convince yourself that you are not moving if you close your eyes. If the car accelerates or decelerates you would feel it. This is same with the rotation of earth. As the earth spins at a constant pace with the surroundings, oceans and you spin at the same constant pace you do not feel like you are moving at all. If the earth suddenly speed up or slow down you would definitely feel it. Also to make out a difference you need to compare it with something. As all that is around you is spinning you cannot compare it with anything. This is another reason why you cannot distinguish the earth’s movement.
