Let’s Explore the Wonders of the Universe through the Second Episode of Vidya

Vidya TV Program

A universal truth that all of us agree with is that the nighttime is so spectacular.   It is indisputable that it is the sky that makes the night so picturesque. You might not be able to experience this as it is from an urban area illuminated with artificial lighting. Imagine yourself on a clear, dark, moonless night, far from the glare of city lights. As you gaze upward, you would see a panorama that no poet’s words can truly describe and that no artist’s brush could truly capture.

We have reserved the second episode of the Vidya-Television documentary series to enable the Sri Lankan audience to witness the wonders of the universe along with the unique patterns being displayed by the sky blended with modern technology.

For thousands of years Man has been gazing upwards at the skies out of curiosity over universe’s various phenomena.  This would have turned the thoughts of our ancestors into profound questions.

How was the universe created?

Where did the Earth, Moon, and Sun come from?

What are the planets and stars made of?

How do we fit in?

What is our place in the cosmic scope of space and time?

You will be made aware of how the quest for answers for these mystifying questions evolved from simple technologies into state of the art technological applications in the field of astronomy and space technology that led to the exploration of planets, the unique feats that the man accomplished during this lengthy journey, how this subject field impact the current society as well as the life of the people.

Join us on Sunday, the 26th of March 2023 at 7.00 p.m. to view the Vidya documentary program being telecast on the Jathika Rupavahini.
