Did you know that black holes aren’t actually black?. They’re very dark but they aren’t black. In many ways, a black hole acts like an ideal black body, as it reflects no light. But they glow, slightly, giving off light across the whole spectrum, including visible light. This radiation is called “Hawking radiation” named after Mathematical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking, who first proposed its existence.
