Do you know about the longest animal on earth? Scientists spotted a swirling siphonophore off Western Australia that was 150 feet long. Siphonophore is a translucent, stringy creature. Like jellyfish ,siphonophores are predators. Using their stingers, siphonophores are known to feed on plankton, like copepods and krill. However, some siphonophore species can also handle larger prey, like fish.
